Quick Buttery Pasta {Recipe}

Today was a day where I didn’t want to cook, but had no choice. Therefore I wanted to make a tasty meal requiring the least amount of effort. I opted to purchase a few pre-made goodies, which helped dinner for 5 come along within 30 minutes.

  • 1 large roast chicken
  • 2 garlic bread baguettes
  • Cream of mushroom soup
  • Steamed tender-stem broccoli with garlic
  • Sautéed okra and wild mushroom
  • Buttery pasta ~> MVP

Buttery pasta was definitely the MVP at the dinner table. Best of all, it took such little effort to make. A buttery pasta is very common in Italy, and my version is simply boiled pasta tossed with salt, Italian herbs mix, fresh garlic, and organic butter. I also mix it with some Parmesan cheese for added flavour.

Today, I used linguini. I prefer the texture of linguini, but you can use spaghetti or angel hair if you wish.

  3. Add butter in slices increments until reaching desired consistency.
  4. Add 2 TBSP of Parmesan cheese and mix before serving. Add salt as needed.
